Now this is a bit of history I wouldn't have minded being taught in high school. Did you know the famous sportswear company Adidas was founded by family members? Brothers, actually, who launched their sportswear dream during World War II. Then one brother tricked the other into having to go fight in Poland. Needless to say, this resulted in one pissed off brother, who decided to launch his own brand upon returning to Germany: Puma.
I really do appreciate a bit of light reading from time to time. I wouldn't say I'm a hard-core chicklit fan, but I did enjoy The Devil Wears Prada for example. It-Girl mentioned a new title today that I know has been out for a few weeks now, but I hadn't really paid any attention to it yet: Celebutantes.
I have to say, I was a little disappointed by my read-over of Bazaar Great Style: The Best Ways to Update Your Look by Jenny Levin (of Harper's Bazaar).
I think it’s safe to say that most girls have fantasized about their wedding at some point in their lives.
This second installment about my favorite style guides will discuss what I though about The Little Black Book of Style by Elle fashion director Nina Garcia. Nina Garcia is one of those women. You know, the fashion directors at influential fashion magazines who always look like the epitome of style and grace, never like the billboard for some or other designer.
My interest in all things fashion exceeds what some might deem the reasonable or the normal. That’s why I am always curious to read about what other people think about concepts such as style, especially if those persons are iconic in their own right.
