The right fluff

Celebutantes

I really do appreciate a bit of light reading from time to time. I wouldn't say I'm a hard-core chicklit fan, but I did enjoy The Devil Wears Prada for example. It-Girl mentioned a new title today that I know has been out for a few weeks now, but I hadn't really paid any attention to it yet: Celebutantes.

If there ever was to be a prize for best book campaign, I guess writers Amanda Goldberg and Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper (or at least the team behind them) deserve to win. On their nice looking My Space page, they put up a couple of shorts based on scenes from the book, featuring my personal fave, Autumn Reeser, whom you might remember from the dead awesome series The O.C. (oh, the agony of having to miss new episodes...)

The scenes are quite funny, and I was kind of disappointed to find out they were only a marketing stunt, and not trailers for a movie-in-the-making. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long before that is the case, I'm dying for another girls' night movie to come to theaters. This was my favorite scene:

On another note, I also found out today that Cashmere Mafia might not be continued. With good reason or not?

xx Steph
