What we've been reading this week

Kerri and I have been really busy this week, what with Kerri having landed an amazingly cool job and me interning at Belgium's most fabulous fashion magazine, Elle! We might not have had the time to prepare a lot of articles for you, but we can direct you to what we've been reading this week.

US retailers have begun to put limits on the amount of luxury bags one can buy at their stores. They fear European customers will take advantage of the weak dollar by buying several expensive designer purses at the same time, only to resell them in their home countries for quite a few dollars more. The New York Times journalist Eric Wilson investigates the matter in this article.

I've always liked the Fug girls, but now that they have a semi-regular column for New York Magazine, I LOVE them. They have an amazingly funny take on life, especially on the glamour and fashion side of it. In this article, they divulge their feelings about the cancelation of the Golden Globe Awards.

Yesterday, the finale of the first season of Gossip Girl was aired on the CW. New York Magazine made it their business to rate each episode according to the reality-factor of the show. After the last episode, they publish their final judgment.

So it is true: Teen Vogue will cease to cooperate with reality show The Hills, which made stars out of the Teen Vogue interns Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port. As for the real reason for the split up, we're left guessing...
