The New York Times boldly asserted that Coccodrillo "may be the world’s best shoe store". And it may be true. For what else can be said about such a well edited selection of designer footwear? Discreetly lined on neutral carpets, chairs and other non-functioning furnishings, are the indiscreet electric blue Velcro buckles of Pierre Hardy, Balenciaga warrior-wear, and brightly embellished Van Notens.
The backdrop has a calming influence on an otherwise overwhelming desire for every product on offer.
