Do Dries for less

Before anyone can complete the sentence 'do the...' [whatever] now, all I hear is 'Helen Keller and talk with your hips.'

Is it the 'do' to end all don'ts?

My mother says the song 'goes too far', which it does - but one cannot deny the catchiness.

Doing a 'Dries' may be just as catchy, albeit less controversial. Depending on how you look at it.

American Apparel's new geometric prints are an obvious nod to Van Noten's spring/summer collection (apart from YSL's cage sandals, nothing similar was shown on the runway), but are they simply a nod or a knock-off?

There is a fine line between influence and infringement, one on which high-street chains like Zara often cross.

I feel, however, the line was not crossed here and American Apparel is no more guilty of recycling than Philip Lim. Agree?

Plus, American Apparel is combining stripes and spandex here - and Dries, I believe, is more inclined to use silks over synthetics.
