Tim Van Steenbergen shows for first time in five years
Local Antwerp designer Tim Van Steenbergen showed for the first time since 2004 at Paris fashion week, and a welcome return it was.
His neutral, retro-inspired collection of swimwear and full-skirted dresses embodied the notion of 'it's all in the details'. For what seemed like a collection of classic shapes in a common theme, was made interesting by drapery, intricate embroidery, and raised shoulders.

I particularly liked the web-embroidered shift dress above (middle) and his collection of assymetric blazers that were very much in line with the sort of 'easy luxury' many customers are seeking in this shaky economy.
