Lohan's Ungaro collection pretty disasterous, by all accounts
Was it as bad as we expected? Well, the pieces that were bad (all but two, in my opinion) were far worse than anything I could have imagined, but I did not expect to like anything. So, I guess in that sense, it surpassed low expectations?!
And although this is a scathing review, other critics were not as kind:
The NY Times compared it to 'something akin to a McDonald’s fry cook taking the reins of a three-star Michelin restaurant'.
While WWD deemed it 'an embarrassment,' adding it looked 'cheesy and dated' with an 'overworked' heart motif.
'Overworked' it was: infantile sequined hearts covered fabrics and nipples (see below, middle) alike and were plastered on models' heads for no apparent reason (see below, right).

Estrella Archs, the poor designer brought on to translate Lohan's 'artistic' vision, bowed her head in shame as the collection closed and editors ran for the nearest exit.
Is this the face of a woman who is proud of her work (left)? And one that is sober (right)?

As for those two pieces that did not offend my eyes? Well, maybe it's akin to choosing the best from the Jessica Simpson cinema collection, but I kind of like this heart motif blazer. Don't hate.
