Rodarte for Target, yet another missed opportunity for H&M
We are starved for hand-woven assymetric sweaters here in Europe too!
Not that we REALLY expect anything but mass production out of Vietnam, but Rodarte for Target will [hopefully] at least resemble the real label. And look more expensive than regular Target.
It's hard to translate high fashion into mass retail; sometimes it works (Karl Lagerfeld for H&M), and sometimes it doesn't (Matthew Williamson for H&M). But this will be the ONLY opportunity for us regular folk to own Rodarte anything.
Unfortunately, €2000+ for a sweater just will never happen for me. Maybe it will for you, and if so, go ahead and do it. Do not feel guilty. You support the label. Do it for all of us who can't.

Rodarte for Target (or as my mother likes to call it 'Tarjay', in an attempt to make it sound French and, frankly, better) hits shelves and online December 20th.
