You can tell when Karl Lagerfeld really likes his women's collection...he wants to wear it himself

I hope this isn't a trend...

Karl Largerfeld was seen wearing the same sequined jacket that a Chanel model recently wore on his runway. He's been creating men's and women's collections since '82, and perhaps he's decided to cut some corners in his old age by doing both in one shot. Or, maybe he's really desperate for free publicity. Yeah, it's probably the latter. Bottom line is that a guy wearing women's clothing – not so cool. Karl, you've learned by now that you should always leave it to the professionals…and to the correct gender.

I suppose you could argue that it's a value add for a thrifty couple: "Honey, I'm wearing the Chanel coat on Friday night...you can have your turn on Saturday." I forsee a dysfunctional couple being born...

This does sound familiar: about a month ago, we saw a male modeling the female line in Marc Jacobs' 'marc by marc' fall advertisements.

I feel bad for this model and you should too. Go ahead; give me your arguments on why this works. I agree it does attract attention, but is this what we need to resort too? I'm seeing a few great items in these photos, and I think they deserve to be shown off by the deserving gender. As always, we go back to the basics, and purses are still just for girls.
