Fall's Top Five: Richard Nicoll (#5)
In the lightest shades of pink and gray, Richard Nicoll's fall collection hardly reads cold-weather practical, but I love it so much, I don't care.
Remind me again when my white tights are splattered in slush.
Nicoll, in the company of young London designers like Marios Schwab and Jonathon Saunders, has always been on my radar, but it wasn't until this collection that I really took notice.
His construction skills are obvious in the corsetry, but the collection was so well executed stylistically as well.
I am particularly enamoured with the plastic-coated trench.
Having alluded to the underwear-as-outerwear trend that just took over the s/s '10 runways, it seems other designers are paying attention as well.

Richard Nicoll will soon be available in Antwerp at RA 13.
